How Real Change Happens

Have you ever found yourself signing up for a workout program, free or paid, hoping that it would finally give you the results you have been wanting?
Me too.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. How there are so many programs out there that offer a step by step plan, with guarantees to create the results you want, as long as you follow the plan perfectly.
So you eat the meal plan they give you, even if it has a kale salad everyday (and you hate kale). Even if you are told to do 100 pushups each day, even though the act of doing one makes you want to cry.
But you do it, because you want the results that you see other people having. You are tired of looking in the mirror, and not seeing the true you looking back at you. You are tired of being uncomfortable in your clothes and swimsuit season is coming.
But eventually, your motivation wanes. You have one off day or an invitation to happy hour with your best friend, and then all of a sudden, everything goes off the rails.
And you are right back to where you started - but with less money in your bank account and asking yourself why you can’t just do it like everyone else. If the problem is really you.
Now let’s imagine a different way.
You meet with a trainer who genuinely wants to understand you. Yes, it’s an investment to get personalized support - one that is tailor made to you, but there’s something about her that makes you want to lean in. So you take the leap and vow to trust the process.
She starts by asking questions most plans skip over:
What does your actual day-to-day look like?
How many steps are you naturally getting?
What’s your go-to dinner when you’re tired?
How do you feel about your body and energy right now?
What do you want your life to look like when you’re 80?
From there, she builds something that fits you.
A meal plan full of your favorite foods (not a kale salad in sight).
You don’t even see a pushup in your first set of workouts.
A rhythm that includes a nightly bite of chocolate and weekend cocktails with friends.
A starting point of 8,000 steps instead of a forced 10,000.
Your workouts meet you where you are, mixing the safety of home with the newness of building strength in new spaces.
It feels like a slow, steady on-ramp.
You’re challenged—but in a way that feels empowering, not punishing.
And you’re never alone.
She’s there with you on the low days, the high days, and the messy in-between—teaching you how to adapt, adjust, and keep returning to what makes you feel good. The year long commitment seemed like too much, but then you realize, you need to go through challenges that naturally come in every season, to truly feel empowered to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Day by day, week by week, you learn to trust yourself.
You build a rhythm that sticks—not because you forced it, but because it fit you.
And one day, you look in the mirror and realize:
The woman you always knew you were inside… she’s finally shining through.
That’s exactly what makes The Unconventional Woman’s Club different from any other membership.
Instead of rigid rules, it’s built on rhythms.
