Fear isn't the reason to stop - it's the signal to go

Have you ever felt stuck, like fear was keeping you from making a move your heart knew was right?
I’ve been there.
I’ll never forget the day I sat in my car, staring at the office building where I worked. On paper, my life looked “successful,” but inside, I felt completely out of alignment. I knew I wanted something different, but the thought of stepping off the path I’d worked so hard to build? Terrifying.
“What if I fail?” I thought. “What if I regret it? What if I don’t know what to do next?”
But here’s what I’ve learned: Fear isn’t there to stop you. It’s a signal it’s time to move. It’s telling you you’re on the edge of something big—something meaningful.
The Shift That Changes Everything
Instead of asking yourself, “What if I fail?” try asking, “What’s the worst that could happen, and how would I handle it?”
When I started asking myself this, I realized I was way more capable than I thought. That shift helped me stop seeing fear as a red light and start treating it like a flashing yellow—proceed with courage and care, but proceed.
If you’re feeling stuck right now, here’s a simple exercise to get you moving:
Write down the fear that’s holding you back.
Ask yourself, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Be honest.
For each fear, write one small action you could take to move forward anyway. Think outside the box - if you feel stuck, think about if the outcome was good, what would you do?
It doesn’t have to be a big leap—sometimes it’s just a small step. Both are powerful & important
Put It Into Practice
What fear is keeping you stuck in “fitting in”? What’s one step that could start moving you toward flying free?
Hit reply and share it with me—I’d love to be on your journey with you.
And if you’re ready to take a small step forward, my 7 day guide is the best place to start. In the guide, we go deeper into rhythms that support your confidence & clarity, helping you design your own path so you can leave behind the box of “fitting in” and take off toward freedom.
It’s time to stop letting fear hold you back.
Cheers,
Lauren

Last week I talked about gifting intentionally. If you still need gifts for those on your list, these are some of my favorite intentional gifts:
Unreasonable Hospitality is the perfect book for someone who cares about experiences & doing things with purpose.
Last year I was gifted similar glassware & I just used them for Thanksgiving for an old fashioned, sangria, wine & water. They are the perfect entertaining gift!
These are the best lip glosses in my opinion, they are hydrating, not sticky, & have ethically sourced vanilla & are tested for heavy metals. *i do earn commission if you choose to purchase through this link.
Jack’s Daughters is not only a Kansas City based company, but their candles are free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehydes, & artificial dyes. Their fragrances are also free from carcinogens & reproductive toxins. I love the Santal Noir scent & the Winter Solstice is the perfect holiday scent!
